FAQ's
WHAT HAPPENS?...
AT THE ASSESSMENT
• This is a consultation/intake process. We essentially discuss what's bothering you and what you want out of therapy.
• I will ask a variety of questions comprising of some practical information, and about your presenting issue/needs. This important initial process is to determine how therapy can be most helpful to you. We will discuss the duration of potential sessions, confidentiality, our contract together and fees.
• After this initial discussion, and if we both agree that Well Therapy will be beneficial we will plan our first session and frequency of counselling.
• When preparing for private therapy it can be helpful to consider commitment, expenses, space and time for processing.
• Should you not wish to progress, you are completely free to do so. Sometimes, other types of counselling are more appropriate; or that Well Therapy is unable to provide what you need at this time. Onward referrals and signposting will be discussed where suitable.

AT OUR SESSIONS
• Sessions will typically be held at the same time and day each week, for an agreed duration (e.g. 'every Tuesday at 11am for 8 weeks').
• Sessions can bring up a lot of 'stuff', during and between. This is natural and common. At regular intervals we review your progress goals together and any necessary and relevant support pathways between.
• Therapy is extremely personal. If you are ever concerned or unsure about the process, you are always welcome to raise any queries with me.
AT THE END
• Whether short, mid or long-term therapy: it is common to feel mixed emotions when ending such a unique experience.
• We prepare for this when leading up to our final session/s together in a mutually agreed ending.
• Sometimes endings can be unplanned due to a variety of factors (at times beyond our control). I believe it is still valuable to discuss closure in whatever the circumstances.
IS EVERYTHING PRIVATE?...
Confidentially is one of the most integral parts of therapy. I value and care about the most private and personal information you are entrusting me with.

Everything we talk about remains private and confidential, however there may be certain circumstances in which it is necessary to share relevant information.

I provide a full and transparent privacy policy which explains how your data is kept, processed and stored. I believe it is important you are aware of this in advance of any commitment to therapy to make an informed choice.

I will set aside time for any discussion regarding queries around confidentiality and privacy.
WHAT ARE YOUR FEES?...
